It’s easy to get “over worked” “stressed out” and “tired” physically, but it is also possible to get “tired” spiritually as well, “falling away from God”, by not getting into the word, consistently spending time with him, and sin. Hebrews 3:12: See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Sin
When we sin, it’s like we start building a wall between us and God, even the smallest little thing adds to that wall, and eventually that wall grows so large, that it pretty much blocks complete communication between us and God. It’s not God’s fault it’s ours, and until we repent and ask for forgiveness from our sins, God is not able to help us.
Plug-in
Get involved in your church, get a daily development plan that will work for you, and be sure to start out small. Start each day by praying, get a few devotional books. It’s not always easy when you’re starting to do devotions; a lot of times people ask themselves couldn’t I be doing something else better with my time? But seriously, if you want time you need to spend and give time. If help in this life is free then you would be crazy not to take it. Just start out in devos for about 15 minutes a day, and after a while it will start to get “easier” and you’ll want to do it more. Not sure where to start in the bible? A good place is the books John and James. If devotions becomes a chore, then you might as well not even be doing it, spending time with God is a choice, not an obligation.
Your Charge
You’ve read it, you’re in it, you’re living it, and it’s time to share it! Once you’ve gained some knowledge about the love of God how could you not share it? Sharing it is not always going out on the street and telling everyone you see. A lot of times it is representing the love of God, in your everyday life, living life to fullest and shining bright!
